Christmas Mantel

This is my living room mantel decorated for the holidays
The word "Hope" has special meaning to me.  In 2008 my fiance was diagnosed with stage IV cancer.  Christmas 2008 he was going through chemo and radiation treatments, we weren't sure he was going to make it.  But we had HOPE, together with faith and love he pulled through.  I also think he had an angel looking over him.

I love to use words in my decorating.
 "Merry Christmas Joy"

I found this mercury glass bottle, and knew it had to be included in my Christmas decorations.  There is something magical about mercury glass...don't you think?

This vintage platter and glass dome was a thrift shop find.  I am in love with both of these pieces!

Stay tuned...more Christmas decorations to come.

Your mantel looks great! Just wanted to stop by and say hi, also you have the no-reply bug on your email so I can't write back when you comment. Here's how to fix if you want, http://btweenblueandyellow.blogspot.com/2010/11/thank-you-give-away.html
